Description
Cast bronze. The work features the head and neck detail of Muse II, one of three muse sculptures Umaluf created for a major University of Texas at Austin commission in 1963. The muse's head is tilted sideways and upward, and she gazes into the distance serenely. Umlauf made the bronze only .5" thick, and the interior is hollow.
